Not military myself but my father has been going here for quite sometime. I help volunteer whenever he has grilling burger duty on a Saturday once a month. It's abit of an old boy's club in that there's something of an established cliq as it were but they are by no means hostile to new people. If you're open to having a good time then so are they.

We are not members but reserved and picked up some wonderful Filipino food in order to support their fund raiser. They supplied generous portions of superb food at a great price. Highly recommended.

Just went to the DAV in Mission Valley and they were great! Helped me file a claim and submitted it right there for me. Ask for Tony Ramos if you can.

They have a lot of events open to the public. Saturday they have amazing burgers for lunch. Stop by and see what they have going on.
The VFW does accept flags and will have them properly retired.
