I can't begin to explain how beautiful this place is. The trails are filled the peace and the sound of flowing water. A sign in sheet is offered at the beginning of every trail along with a map.

Very fun! It was a bit muddy today but tennis shoes were fine. We went out to a peak and then back to the start to go on the trail to the water. Pretty good with signage and not at all busy!

Zoar Valley was awesome. The water was so perfect, Although, for some reason I didn't think you could swim and we were not completely prepared to get wet, we did anyways... Next time we will certainly take a floaty and try to ride the Rapids down river. Some of the trails were very close to the edge, so you do have to be VERY careful, and i wouldn't trust my pets or small children in certain areas (Although i still seen alot). We will def return.

Absolutely beautiful! Enjoyed a nice long hike for a few hours with gorgeous scenery. Some spots can get tricky. I recommend proper foot wear for sure! Most areas are dead spots for cell service so be alert and careful always!

You follow the path all the way down and go around the bend
Access the Zoar Valley Public Use area via Point Peter Rd just south of the Village of Gowanda. This area provides a parking area, porta potty that's wheel chair accessable and what you're looking for, a path directly to the edge of Cattaraugus Creek. Be advised the last tenth mile of the access road is steep. Use caution please. Gowanda is my home town, please enjoy!
East otto state land on Springville side of gorge used to be able to.
Take the path down to where the rivers come together. You'll see a bunch along the way!
Yes there are trials that lead down to the water, and they are too difficult to hike. Some parts of the trail get pretty narrow though, but that's the most you really have to watch out for.
I've camped there few times. Officer came to chat with us one time but never kicked us out. If it written no camping, I'd not risk it now.

East otto state forest is your closest bet. It's free primitive camping.
