This place is a dump. The rooms has mold and very run down. Don't believe the hotel pics they are very deceiving.

4 years ago, we went for my wife’s cousins wedding and it was a beautiful set up and ceremony. But the room was nice and spotless until we wanted to use the hot tub. Hair clogged in the outlet then we noticed legitimate bloody fingerprints and blood spray on the pillar next to the hot tub. WTH! We were shocked and mentioned it, they did clean it but acted as if it wasn’t that bad. We still stayed the rest of our trip there but went to the drug store down the road and bought cleaning supplies. Sanitized it ourselves.

Positive: hotel was great. Convenient location to the highway and lots of restaurant options within walking distance . The hotel is huge so I was expecting a bigger pool area . Negative: The room wasn¿t cleaned properly, there was hair and dirt on the floors. We understand the 48 hr policy between guests but if there¿s no immediate turn around in guests the floors should still be clean

I have a soft spot for the Mayfair since I love the architecture and history of the Mayfair itself and Coconut Grove. The hotel itself is beautiful as far as the lobby. Staff work very hard to keep everything running smoothly. The rooms are a bit outdated but they’re enormous. Love the space. I don’t love the hot tubs on the patio, and we didn’t use ours. Also, the rooms can be a bit humid if the patio doors are left cracked open. I think if people are staying here, you have to understand this is a historic property and has niche architecture given how old the property is. A lot of the features are custom designed for each space. So while it’s not super modern, what they lack in modernity, they make up for in history, amenities and service. Otherwise, parking isn’t great. I’m not a fan of valet but parking in the garage is a long walk. Overall, as a fan of architecture and the green space of the Mayfair, I really liked it and how I was treated as a guest. The pool area is great too.
