I shopped Weis during the pandemic, however I stopped in yesterday and when I got to the checkout counter, I opted to use a cashier and to my greatest disappointment there were absolutely no cashiers. None! The entire checkout were machines. If I wasn’t as tired as I was, I would have left the few items in the cart and gone elsewhere. I had shopped elsewhere and just stopped by get a few staples which weren’t available where I had done my major shopping. However, I will absolutely not shop here anymore. I strongly believe that businesses should support and do their part to help the community. I do not mind the idea of using a few machines, but getting rid of all your cashiers? Noooooo! There were two ladies running around trying to assist everyone at the machines and it was very clear that they were overwhelmed. It saddened me to see. That was definitely my last visit.

This grocery store was a great change from the "Walmart Empty Shelves". We visit the Poconos often and finally became tired of the big chain store having nothing but empty shelves. The shocking thing was Weis prices are not much higher than other stores to be honest. Maybe a few cents on things. Their meat looked great and was reasonably priced as well. If you are new to the area or even just a tourist, I highly recommend shopping here instead of the common 1 stop shop.

Love this grocery store - never heard of them before visited Pensylvania. Plenty of choices - fruits , veggies, meats , seafood etc. Store is very clean and prices are reasonable. They have their own brand chicken which is super cheap and great for the barbecue. My number one destination for groceries in PA
