Walt's Landing

This is not a current experience. I grew up 50+ years ago at Walt's Landing during summers in the 1960s. At that time there were campers on small lots, a nice wharf, great access, and buoys to attach your boat to on the lake. Great memories. We had two campers with porches on them that my grandfather built just a short walk to the dock. A quiet and friendly place.

This is our boat launching place of choice. We previously docked near the dam on Lake Wallenpaupack but it was too choppy. Walt's Landing is a quiet Cove that gets virtually no wake. There are not a lot of frills with Walt's Landing. You park your car you go to your boat and you spend the day on the lake. The only downside is that Walt's Landing requires you to take your boats out of the water at the end of the season earlier than most other boat docks. So if you don't mind your boat being pulled out by September 15th then this is the place for you.

Great family owned business! Walt can be a little cranky at times, but unlike other reviews does not discriminate, he treats everyone the same. If I was working as hard as he does at 70+ I would be a little cranky too. Calmest docks on the lake, well kept grounds, and a great setting.

Sunday 5/22/16 2:45PM Went to office for information on available slips. Man in his 60's wearing glasses with crutches near him said "The empty ones are available". We went to look at slips and liked two. Go back to office and asked him if the two we liked were available, we want to make sure. He was nasty, abrubt, and unprofessional stating "I DON'T KNOW". Racist is what he is. We will tell our friends and family about this business and how incompetent the individual and service was. No security or cameras. Doesn't deserve any star but had to pick one in order to post.
