Went kayaking with extended family. There was a large group of us. It was good that we were able to reserve an early time. It was slightly windy, making it a little difficult to paddle out, but once we took the bend the paddling was much easier. The teens were able to take their own kayaks out. Everyone had a great time. It would be even better if there was some shady places for the people not kayaking to hang out near the rental area.

It is a very nice park and you can experience a lot of bird watching. It has a few benches where you can seat and enjoy nature or you can go for a walk. Plenty of parking space, it is not a very crowded area.
