We had a second incredible stay at the Houdini Estate. It is not only a fascinating estate but, unexpectedly, is the most peaceful environment that we have experienced. Thanks to Jose and Ella for the opportunity. There is so much to explore and so many interesting things of beauty that there is no reason to leave the estate. We loved all of the movie props, Houdini stories scattered around the estate, gorgeous gardens and waterfalls, and fantastic views from the hilltop.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Got discounted tickets through a third party site so can't complain about pricing. The time I went it wasn't too crowded however I can see how it could get crowded. There are only 6 exhibits and on a busy date it could get complicated. I had a great experience tho so my review stands.

We had our Rehearsal Dinner and Indian Wedding at the Houdini Estate at the beginning of Oct. Booking the estate was our first big decision for our wedding as we fell in love with it and knew it would be a unique experience for our friends and family in LA and from out of town, and it did not disappoint. Ella was amazing to work with especially when navigating have to change our dates due to Covid, and we and our guests could not have been happier with the experience that is unique to this venue. We have heard from many of our guests that it was their favorite wedding that they have been to and we hope to go back to Houdini again for up coming anniversaries, parties :) Highly recommend this venue!

This place is stunning and so unique!! I photographed a wedding here and the photo spots are endless. Magical truly is the best way to describe it. Lots of rooms in the house available for getting ready in (plenty of good light too) and an extra special room called "the monkey room" that is up on the top deck near the pool. It has all glass walls! The ceremony was held on the drive way and the reception was down in the lower portion completely covered in grass (but you can do have them vice versa or however you want I believe). Lots of staircases and bridges in the garden area that make for good photos. One of my favorite parts of the property is the large clock wall covered with greenery and bright pink flowers.
