I love this museum. It has so much history attached to it, and is on a beautiful island. The view from the museum alone is amazing. You can take a ferry to get there. Make sure to see an exhibit at the museum while you’re there.

To be honest, barely worth making a journey out of the city for it currently consists of 4 panels describing the making of the island, the Flying Clipper operation, the World Expo - of which the building itself is the main remnant (and a great bit of Art Deco), and the military base. Additionally there's a very small room with a few mildly interesting items from the expo. There's a notice to say Under Renovation. This could be, with funding, an amazing place.

I am not sure what you are talkin about here is that building part of the world's Fair that they had on that property prior to the United States Navy taking over it? There are some buildings still there that were part of that world's fair but maybe one or two buildings, the rest have all been destroyed or demolished. The museum on treasure island is very small probably how about a 5ft by 10ft space, and most the information is about the Navy. You might want to try contacting the national archives they would have information about the fair and the ownership of the government in particular the Navy owning the property and what happened to most of the things that were on the base. there is also a historical book that you can find online and it's called Treasure Island and it has the history of treasure island from the beginning and to when the Navy took it over what buildings they kept what buildings they destroyed, the book has pictures that might help. Hope this helps

Is there an airplane there to see?
