I build ship models as a hobby, and to preserve them from dust and damage, clear acrylic cases/ lids are necessary to protect them. I’ve been coming to Tap for a number of years for this particular reason. Nice people and convenient location in downtown San Mateo. Diego is always helpful, measuring with precision the exact width and thickness I need fitted to the model’s base. Turn around time to completion takes approximately 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the order. The results are never less than satisfactory. If you have a hobby like mine and wish to preserve your hard work, I highly recommend Tap Plastics!

The front counter person was nice and very polite. Normally I would expect to have a pre-paid special order made, but he was very nice and said I could have the piece in 10 mins. Super awesome. 1 less trip. Way to go Tap. Will come again to this location for my future plastic projects.

What is not to love about TAP? Maybe if you really, really don't like plastics of any kind you won't love TAP. But for everyone else ... My particular need at TAP is for cut sheets to flush mount photos. But once inside you will see lots and lots of other plastic "stuff" that's useful for crafting, art, organizing, decorating .... If you have problems controlling yourself when going into an art store, you should probably expect the same when you step inside TAP.
