We so enjoyed the grilled shrimp tacos and my husband loves frog legs and was happy to see they were the special Wednesday night. Great food and service. Two different servers checked on us and made sure our tea glasses were full. They are happy and made small talk and you could just tell they enjoyed working at Southern Roots. Thanks for a great evening

My wife and I went there for dinner. We stood at the front door waiting to be seated and was eventually approached by a woman. She wanted to sit us at a bar table but I wanted a regular table or booth. There was not many people there and I could see a number of empty tables. She said she was going to clean off a table and left. We continue standing at the front door. The woman who was supposedly clearing a table, came back and started taking orders out from the kitchen. After the third time of her going to take out other orders, it was obvious to me that they weren't interested in us getting a seat so we left. I could have better understood this if they were busy, but they were not. I won't bother ever trying to visit that establishment ever again.

After being in town for a wedding I was looking for a good spot to grab some food. So glad we chose Southern Roots Bar&Grille After a short 10min wait (it was 7pm) we ordered 3 appetizers and 5 different menu ites between our group. The zippy shrimp is So WONDERFUL!!! A sweet and subtle heat. Also fire and ice is a must. Fried pickles were simple yet great. Meal wise the patty melt didn't disappoint me at all. Shrimp Po boy, chicken nachos, Buffalo chicken wrap and a kids hamburger rounded out what was an amazing find. 👏 Will definitely be back just for the food!!

The food is terrific! Domestic beer is well priced. Staff is amazing! Prices are a bit higher than expected ($3 to $5 higher per menu item than comparable area restaurants). The experience and food was top notch. I will be back!
