Beautiful park! We went for the farmers market and enjoyed walking around and reading about the history. Loved watching people walk their dogs and others play soccer or picnic. Definitely recommend going to!

I had the opportunity to explore this park while in the Savannah Hilton Head area for a conference a while back. The park is located in the beautiful Savannah Historic District. The park has lots of space and grass area as well as gorgeous Spanish moss trees and a fountain and more. Being in the Historic District Forsyth Park is also just steps away from some historic homes and places. The park and area was a grate place to explore and go for a walk

A beautiful park with a gorgeous fountain. Plenty of room to walk, run, play with your dog or just relax and enjoy the beauty. A must stop if you're in Savannah.

Great park in Savannah. We got there in the morning and it was fairly crowded. Has historical statues. Has a lovely fountain. Has public restrooms and a restaurant and Leopold's ice cream parlor. The one at Broughton st usually has a long queue, so this might be a better option for you if you don't want to wait that long. People were enjoying themselves in the park and it was well maintained. I had a good time!!!

If you watch out for trees, certainly. Phenomenal photo ops for the Fountain, garden, & oaks!
Yes, and I even saw a few unleashed ones. I don't recommend that though.
There's also opportunity for adults, too. Enjoy biking, skateboarding, flying kites, playing music or football/soccer, walking, photos, picnics, or plan a wedding.
My suggestion is to set up somewhere North of the big white fountain. Too close to the fountain and it's white noise will drown you out. But North of that there are two huge green fields and at the edge is some trees that would provide cover. Let us know how it goes.
Parking on side streets. There may be some parking at the southern end of the park
