such a neat little coffee spot with a very retro-meets-modern energy. after a few years of following pandemic guidelines, the shop recently re-opened at full capacity, including their inside ordering area. there isn’t a ton of seating at the venue (i’d guess 15-20 tables max?) but i’ve never had a problem finding a spot. coffee is great, and the handful of food options they have are pretty tasty too. worth a visit if you’re around!

They serve Verve coffee here, which is hands down my favorite roaster in the (extended) Bay Area, so I try to stop by here when I'm in the area. The one downside to Roy's is that everything other than their straight black coffee is overly sweetened. It's on a level higher than Starbucks sweetness. Other than that, it's a cool place to drink some coffee with a few friends.

Descent place with a cool vibe, we stopped by here to try their coffee. The cappuccino we ordered was quality and tasted rich. However, overall I felt that the quantity of the same was pretty small for a medium size cup and the coffee served wasn’t warm enough. We also tried their almond croissant which was okay and didn’t taste like an ‘Almond’ croissant to be honest.

Great corner coffee shop open earlier than most surrounding businesses in J-town & offers a great spot to sit & enjoy surroundings. One of cleaner coffee shops I’ve seen in San Jose, nice design, friendly staff & great tribute to the gas station owner Roy who had a station here on this corner from 1946 to 1990. For sustainability-minded folk, get your coffee in a for-here cup & choose food without plastic wrapping from the case. I love the retro coke machine which still serves cold bottles of Soda in reusable bottles (wish they were all like this!)

The majority are not gluten free. There are snacks, such as gluten free biscottis and cookies. There are also salads, wraps and sandwiches available. I hope this helps!!
Order from the front door plexi glassed station. Wait in the outdoor patio area and pick up from another plexi glass window on the other side.
