Made reservation day of! The place has a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and we ordered a variety! I ordered the ramen and the tofu had to be the best part! The drink I ordered is a sake base with strawberries and lychee, I liked that it wasn’t strong. I would recommend ordering the roulette sushi if you are dinning with a group. I am not vegan myself, but I almost forgot it was a vegan place.

Gorgeous vegan food, we tried so many different things and enjoyed every single one. My favourite was the Karaage starter. It's a really popular busy place so be sure to book a table as soon as possible (it looks to book out a week or a few days in advance)

I thought it was…fine? After all the hype I was a little underwhelmed. We ordered some less popular menu items and, while I loved the drinks and the ambiance, and the service was fantastic, the food itself was just kind of…okay. No standout flavours, nothing memorable. I was a little disappointed to have spent $100 on a pretty okay dinner, honestly. I can see why vegan sushi is novel and exciting, and I like a lot of the concepts, but I don’t know that I’d go through all the trouble of securing a Saturday night reservation for this again.

The wait was worth it! To guarantee we could go, had to make a reservation two weeks in advance - no regrets! The space is not too big and it was packed, and now I understand the popularity. The sushi we had was fresh, creative, and delicious! Lots of tofu used in different ways (couldn't tell it was tofu if it wasn't written in the menu), mushrooms and algae. Also enjoyed the cocktail.

Not certified organic, but they know where everything comes from & choose with the utmost care.
Yes, the menu identifies which items are gluten free. (Note to others who answered this question: avoiding dumplings and ramen isn't necessarily sufficient if you're actually celiac -- for example soy sauce contains potentially harmful amounts of wheat.)
They don't take reservations. But you can go there in person, put your name on the list and they text you when your table is ready. Takes about 1h on a weeknight and 2h on weekends.
They had about 2 tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining when I went a couple weeks ago
For economical options there’s street parking here and there, but if that fails there’s an attended lot right next door that was $20 for a Sunday night
Soy free items are very limited
Nigiri is 8$ for two pieces. The 'classic rolls' are 8$. It's 6 pieces. The speciality rolls are freaking delicious and they are 14-16$ and you get 8 pieces.
They fill up quickly. If you are not on the reservation list via yelp by 7:30 pm you are unlikely to eat there that night. The list doesn't open till 6pm same night. If you want to eat at the 5pm first seating get there by 4:20pm to wait outside to get a table. If you get there at 4:30 pm you might make first seating. If you make 2nd seating they will claim the wait is 45 minutes but it will be more like 80 minutes.
No but they hav a good selection of drinks and sake that you can order at your table!
It's all vegan. So no traditional fish, no. You won't be disappointed though!
