Gorgeous mountain views. A quaint renaissance festival atmosphere. Always music at the pub. As someone who has been to multiple Renaissance festivals around the country, what it lacks in size, it makes up for twice over in atmosphere, the amazing staff, and great faire food. I will visit every year.

One of the best festivals I've ever been to. Not because it was extravagant--though the little medieval "town" it was held in was delightful--or expensive (cheap, in fact), but because the guests and performers alike were just so genuinely happy to gather, dress up, and exist together in a different world for an afternoon. The wonderful positive energy truly made it special. Great for kids and adults alike.

The WV Renaissance festival is an amazing family fun adventure set in the most picturesque mountain side village. Equestrian Chaos will perform their death-defying archery stunts on horseback. Visit every weekend this June 2022!

Was not sure what to expect in size from such a small town, but in my experience the deeper quality comes from smaller venues. However, this is rapidly growing in size and variety. Well organized. Packed with variety and culture, and well worth the drive from VA. I will certainly add it to the yearly schedule in order to help and watch it grow.
