An archaic institution that continues the status quo of huge energy corporations while destroying through policies and practices both clean energy and small businesses. Nothing public about them in their sense of protecting and standing up for the greater good of California citizens and businesses. Embarrassing.

I give CPUC zero stars. They are failing the ratepayers of California. They give the illusion that there are mechanisms in place for the ratepayers to be heard but that's all it is; an illusion. Our water rates have tripled in the last five years while San Jose Water (SJW) and its shareholders have seen record earning. Ratepaying volunteers have been advocating for fair and reasonable rates for 3 years following all the procedures and rules of the CPUC to no avail. CPUC Commissioners, Administrative Law Judges, and division employees are complicit. The CPUC has a very cozy relationship with investor owned utilities and CPUC needs to be completely reformed if California ratepayers are ever to get justice. SJW is currently attempting to acquire Connecticut Water and the CPUC is refusing to get involved and require SJW to file an application in California. WHY is the CPUC not regulating SJW? WHY doesn't the CPUC care if this acquisition is in the ratepayers best interest? If SJW is successful in acquiring Connecticut Water, they will become the third largest investor owned water utility in the nation. The CEO stated that his goal is to become number one. CPUC has failed miserably at regulating PG&E, SJW, Southern California Edison's San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant.

As a vendor who is licensed through them you'd think they'd have a department to deal with us. But they never answer their phones. No reason to write this review since I'm sure they don't care and Nothing!! will be done to fix it. Just another government agency doing the bare minimum.

The CPUC is the worst. They have no easy consumer support. Their phones system puts you in a circle. They are useless. Why does the state let them get away with terrible customer support or help

How can we as consumers, stop PG&E from continually raising prices which are already way too high. Low income families are being charged outrages prices which they sometimes cannot afford. Resulting in shut off for those who are elderly, or poor.
