THEY ARE LOCATED AT 411 E 18th st suite F. Make sure you’re going to the NEW address. I have locs which is why I am writing this review. This shop, in the back right portion of the building/check the glass door and you will see Suite F, is amazing. Extremely responsive when I called for an appointment. They also followed up the day before I was scheduled, which helped me immensely. I was promptly seated when I arrived, and got a fantastic shampoo/condition. All you folks with locs know how important that is. Scalp was dancin’. In less than an hour, Morgan had me looking like I belonged to somebody again. She has double digit, in years, experience. Her mother (shop owner) could do this with her eyes closed. I personally chose the maintenance without the styling, because I have a looser loc look, but they do it all. If you have locs, want locs, or are just looking for a good OAKLAND! hair shop...look no further. Just call. You won’t be sorry.

Got my dreads reattached so I thought paid and they’re falling out humongous in the front this is not what I ask for was told to keep it in style but my hair texture caused style to be taken down only to see the front of my head have enormous parting dreads slipping off hanging by a thread I asked can it be done guaranteed me great quality service no it’s awful now I gotta cut this mess Rhonda did out my hair I paid what she ask for but not for my dreads to just fall out she say don’t touch my hair I have jobs I can’t wear things on my head to prevent bad service from showing so we can either refund my money and I go somewhere else or we can take this to court. Now my hair wasn’t long enough if that was the case why start and take my money fixed rate or not Rhonda you did me wrong but my higher power gone show you something see you in court!!!

This review is primarily on service when attempting to set an appointment as a new potential customer. I'm always happy to support a black business (we have to help each other out). But bad service is bad service, how would she have treated me once I got there?!: I called yesterday to make an appointment, i was greeted with a woman laughing loudly and I don't believe even mentioned the salon's name. I asked for a specific style and mentioned the word two strand twist, she said she never heard of a two strand twist, but they do a double strand (duh, that would be two right)? Nevertheless, she took my name and number and said someone would call me that day. Never heard back from them. Definitely a salon that need a serious class in Customer Service and Professionalism. Luckily, I found another salon in the area.
