We had a great time camping at Colter Bay. We reserved a spot in the D loop which was a super short walk to Jackson Lake beach which had incredible views of the Grand Tetons. The kids enjoyed swimming - would recommend: water shoes and inflatables. If you’re an early riser you can claim a picnic table near the beach (no view) where you can grill out and set up corn hole.

We stayed in a tent cabin and it was great! The beds are way more comfortable than first impression might suggest. It got a little cool overnight with the high elevation here but that was not exactly unwelcome amidst 80-90 degree days. Definitely recommend these to anyone looking for an economical, quasi-camping experience... look mom, no wifi!

We pitched our own tent. Compared to other campgrounds this place was awesome. The bathrooms had soap and paper towels but no hot water. The tent sites were well taken care of and there was a nice, gravel area to pitch the tent (much better than bare ground). Everything was well run. We had a great time.

Overall nice campground. Lost a star for being more of a village than a campground. Busy place in a popular national park so understandable. Each camp loop has its own bathroom building and every site has its own bear box for food items which is nice and convenient. Showers and laundry are centrally located in village area down the road from the camp sites. Beach on jackson lake is a nice place to spend the day and watch the mountains.

If it is street legal, according to Wyoming statue, then you should be able to ride it on any road that allows vehicular access.

Hi Michael, It looks like you got some great answers on this already. Sites are $32 per night or $16 per night with a Interagency Senior or Access Pass. We do have a limited number of sites with electrical hook-ups. Those sites are $55 per night or $39 with one of the mentioned passes. Our full details are at https://www.gtlc.com/camping/colter-bay-campground
The Colter Bay Campground doesn't take advance reservations. Sites are first come first serve. The RV Park at Colter Bay does take advance reservations, and those sites do have full hookups. You can reserve 11 months in advance for those sites. Hope that helps!
Colter bay is first come first serve for individual sites. Group sites can be reserved. Pricing information can be found here: https://www.gtlc.com/camping/colter-bay-campground
If you want full hook ups, I think it is $75 but availability is scarce. Dry camping is $25 I think, first come first serve. Show up early, wait in line. RV campground is reserved.
The campground is first come first serve and generally fills mid-June to mid-August and sometimes around Labor Day. We generally fill between 12-4pm, if we're going to fill. We do take reservations at the RV Park and at Tent Village. The RV Park has full hook-up sites, and Tent Village offers log and canvas camping structures with bunks, a wood stove, and picnic area.
