My dog had got into a new container of Juicy Fruit gum, little did I know that it has xylitol in it! Piper started falling over and legs were not working properly! I called on a Friday late afternoon for an emergency appt by the time I got her to the office her sugar was so low she was pretty much limp & having tremors! The Techs came out to help me one climbed up in my truck while the other loaded her on the cart! While waiting in the room Dr Kennedy explained all the details that could happen over the next 2-3 days while in the hospital. The Dr on duty called daily to give me updates! The care my dog received while in the Hospital was excellent! I couldn’t be more pleased with the passion and care the Dr’s and techs had with her! Piper is currently doing Great thanks to BV!

They were the only vet within a two hour drive of us that had availability to take an emergency for our dog. Dr. Kennedy and tech Autumn were both amazing! Very kind and caring. Explained everything and showed me the X-rays to ease my mind. So thankful they were able to help us! Mia says thank you for helping me!

My dog had his first seizure on a Friday evening and we called them in which they talked us through What to do. Our dog had another early Sunday morning. We called and they were able to see him later that day to check him out. The staff was great with us and our dog. Unfortunately they found a mass and has days to several months. So grateful to know and to help him live his best days as much as possible. They gave us his medicine and were very patient with all of my questions. The doctor, she was amazing in all aspects. Would definitely recommend to any one!

I was able to rely on Butler Veterinary Associates when I needed an emergency visit and my regular vet was closed. My elderly dog had been suffering from CHF for years and I felt that he was having issues that couldn't wait. When I got there, the ladies at the front desk promptly called someone who took my dog, Louie, to evaluate immediately. It was done in a way that didn't cause panic and after a vet tech came and took Louie, the girl at the front desk explained that she was a little concerned about Louie's breathing and wanted to make sure he got immediate attention to make sure he was okay. Once I was in a room, the vet came to talk to me. They made sure to get my consent and give costs before providing any kind of treatment. They showed me X-rays and explained everything in great detail. They were very professional and compassionate when telling me that they could attempt to help Louie but they only expected a 25% chance of him making it through the procedures they were willing to try. When I asked about different options, they gave me cost sheets with a breakdown of what they would have to do and how much it would cost. After further discussion about how Louie would suffer, I had to make one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make which was to say goodbye to my best friend. They were so compassionate. They told me to take as much time as I needed to say goodbye to him. They stayed with me and let me hold him during the process and although we're in the middle of a pandemic, the vet tech gave me a big hug, which is exactly what I needed. I didn't realize it until I was leaving but it was their closing time. Not once did I feel rushed or was I informed that it was time for these ladies to get back to their own families. They sent me home with a beautiful card that everyone at the office signed and two sets of paw prints so that both my son and I could have a set. When I picked up Louie's remains, I saw that he was placed in the most beautiful box. Although this office doesn't have any openings for new clients, I plan to call periodically to try to get my other dog on their books as a regular patient. I highly recommend this office!
