I will just share a short story about why I decided to keep coming to Christ Church East Bay. The first Sunday was a typical one for a first time visitor: a sea of new faces around me. The service was certainly nice, and I greatly enjoyed the music and preaching. However, what really stood out was when I was filling out a "welcome card" in the back, Pastor Andrew noticed and immediately came over to introduce himself. Soon after, he walked me around the church and introduced me to other people at the church. It was a really welcoming experience! The following Sunday, I returned and Pastor Andrew saw me after service and called me name to have a chat. I was floored he remembered. Considering that visitors come and go and there was no guarantee we would ever meet again, he remembered. I think it speaks volumes about the type of community they hope to foster here, and I have witnessed the same level of commitment to community from many others here. Needless to say, I have been attending ever since.

Christ Church is such a blessing to us that we drive all the way from San Francisco to Berkeley to participate. The teaching is gospel-centered, challenging, and equipping; the people are welcoming and engaged; the pastors are open and authentic; the worship is transcendent. Most of all, we want to be part of the church's important mission "to lead people into a deeper relationship with Christ and his Church through community and for the city."

I have been attending Christ Church for 9 years and am thankful to have found such an incredible community. The combination of Christ-centered sermons, incredible music, and warm welcomes make every Sunday a blessing. Scattered throughout the week, you can join neighborhood bible studies and take a deeper dive into scripture while building lasting relationships. The Bay Area can feel transient, hectic, and isolating. Christ Church provides a sense of stability and helps reorient priorities. This community is ready to embrace anyone who walks through its large doors on Cedar St.

So grateful for this church. Christ Church East Bay It's been a home to myself and my family for 14 years- our children and deeply cared for by the staff and volunteers, myself and my husband have found lasting community and most importantly God's love communicated clearly in all aspects of this church. The church has two locations- 1 in Berkeley, the other meets at Park Ave. Pres. Sundays 9am. Preaching and music is solid at both sites. If you are looking for ways to get to know others in the nieghborhood there are small groups that meet throughout the week. Can't say enough for what this community means to us.
