We camped here for one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was about 2am and we got tired when we booked a site just to get some rest. Initially it seemed pretty sketchy because we couldn’t see the campground from the road and the only lighting is near the Inn. The sights were nicely surrounded by trees and there was only one other person camping in a van but it was inexpensive and we were able to take a shower in the morning before getting on the road again. The bathroom definitely needed some cleaning. We do wish we could have toured the caverns but it was a good spot for a one night stop.

We stayed a year ago, loved it! Very simple and amazing view of the Milky Way in the summer. Would highly recommend if your ok with very simple! No lights at night but that’s what makes it amazing. You can see every star, go explore I found amazing red jasper all over in the river bed close to park! Hidden gem and the cavern is pretty cool too

If you're looking for leveled cement pads, swimming pools, and flowers, you won't get that here. This campground is a little run down, but that's what makes your experience more authentic being out in the middle of nowhere. They at least have electrical hookups and water. For someone to say they don't feel safe here tells me they haven't done any real camping. We felt perfectly safe out here. It was very quiet with the exception of hearing owls, crows, and the occasional train. Pros: This is a large campground and you get to choose any site you want after checking in at the Cavern Inn. The cavern and restaurant is within walking distance. It's quiet and you see beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The campground is only 12 miles away from the Hualapai Game and Fish dept to get your permit to drive on Diamond Creek Road to the Colorado River (a must if you have time---you can also camp there like we did in our Jeep). They have restrooms and a small area with a washer and dryer next to the bathrooms. Cons: The restaurant at the Cavern Inn is only open from 12-3pm daily. If you want to eat at the Grotto in the cave, that's only open on Sat and Sun from 12-3pm, so time your hunger with that or bring your own food to the campground if you can't make those times. Mini golf is a no-no. Radiator Springs does not offer gas anymore. The market hardly has food to sell. Mostly snacks. Wifi is not that great. Go to the restaurant and log in using the password they give you. With wifi not that great, had to shorten the RV campground video so it could upload. The video shows maybe 1/3 of the campground. I'm not sure if the cafe at the Cavern Inn was open, but it didn't look like it. Oh, if you need to dump, the dump station is behind Radiator Springs. There's a $5 fee which by the looks of it, I don't think you need to pay for it because it was unlocked. We didn't use it.

The folks that run this park are some of the nicest people we have ever met. We found this campground as the closest RV park to Havasupai trailhead. It's still a 1.5 hour drive in the dark to the trailhead, but that's all on the reservation land so there isn't a closer campground that we know of. We planned to stay in a dry camping spot the first night since we would be waking up at 2am anyway to get to the trailhead to start our hike. And the owners said we could keep our rig there while we were down in Havasupai and then return and move to a site with hookups. BUT... we were setting up in the dark in a spot without hookups the first night when the owner stopped by. He asked why we didn't just park in a site with hookups and we explained our situation. He insisted we move to a paid site and leave it there while we were down hiking even though we didn't pay for a hookup sites those nights! So we were able to leave our rig in a protected campground with electricity on the whole time we were having fun in Havasupai. Not sure if that would be an option for other people depending on the time of year you visit. We were a bit late in the year at the beginning of September so the campground was mostly empty. But it was still an incredibly generous offer. We did pay for 2 nights there and paid $39 a night. Partial hookups (50amp and water, no sewer). And we appreciated the individual shower rooms just a short walk from our campsite. The showers are a bit worn down but clean and warm. We also used the laundry room since the machines were free and we had quite a bit of dirty clothes after hiking for a few days. Free breakfast down near the highway in the cafe. We were the only people in there and they had a pretty good selection for a continental breakfast. We ate at the restaurant up by the campsites. The food was good, not great, but a warm bite to eat after hiking Havasupai was just what we needed. We finished off our stay with a tour of the grotto. It was interesting, but the best part was the tour guide and his ridiculous puns. The entire complex has been around for a while and shows some age (especially down near the highway), but you're not going to find much else around here and for a night's stay in the middle of the desert with no light pollution and close-ish to Havasupai... this was an amazing campground.
