This was my first time shopping at American freight in San Leandro, California. It was also my first time buying appliances for a home at all, and the overall experience was absolutely excellent, from purchasing my original appliance online, having it delivered and installed, all the way through an unfortunate necessity of having to exchange it for something else. I never write reviews, but the customer service at this particular store was so above and beyond that I really have to take the time to thank them publicly. A special shout out to customer rep Momo, who was calm and helpful and informative throughout this process. She helped me navigate the exchange (which had nothing to do with the product delivered, but rather my own misunderstanding about what was possible where I live), and she did this thoughtfully, with an understanding of the issue I was having and with a willingness to make accommodations for my personal circumstance. The two gentleman who made the delivery and helped with installation (both times), Vernon and Ramiro, were also extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable and simply a pleasure to have in my home. I can easily recommend the San Leandro store to anyone looking to buy appliances.

DO NOT GET A SEARS HOME WARRANTY FOR YOUR HOME APPLIANCES. They do not EXIST anymore! They contract out to A & E Factory Services in Bay Area, which don’t repair or help. All the Sears repair appliances locations in the Bay Area are PERMANENTLY CLOSED. So they contract to local providers that work from home, they don’t have offices. NO WAY TO REACH THEM BY PHONE, EMAIL, TEXT, OR EVEN GO TO A LOCATION! A & E Factory Services gets paid BY THE TRIP, no incentive to fix a problem if they get paid to come back more trips to work on it! I had a gentleman come out from A & E AND IT WAS THE THIRD TECHNICIAN TO COME OUT TO SEE THE REFRIGERATOR. And I asked him why it’s taking sooo long to fix my refrigerator. He actually laughed at me and said “This is job security!” And I’ve come across A & E repair men in public and he offered to fix my refrigerator for CASH UNDER THE TABLE. It’s funny how they can fix my refrigerator for cash BUT THEY WON’T FIX IT WITH THE WARRANTY THAT I PAID $300.00 FOR! A & E offices are located in FLORIDA (or an overseas call center) They have no reason or incentive to help you. The company officially sent me 6 parts! It took 6 calls to get all 6 parts that were listed in the order. I have had 4 different repair men sent to my home since AUGUST 2020. It is now April Fool’s Day 2021. For every man that comes out to say they need a part, the next guy comes and says it’s not the right part I need!!! It’s a never ending struggle to get my refrigerator fixed and they are GETTING PAID! In short, please PLEASE save yourself the trauma and the misery! DO NOT BUY A SEARS WARRANT! It’s a waste of money.💰 Lucky me! I just got a text saying he is coming tomorrow same time. Third time...no show?

This location is a rip off... You will get better deals on Craigslist of even home depot. I have also been in this store and ignored the entire time and heard constant phone ringing. Worst customer service ever.

No. Both Sears Outlet and the new American Freight Appliance, Furniture, Mattress are completely separate entities from Sears and Sears' parent company TransformCo. In fact, starting in late April, we will no longer use the Sears Outlet name and it will be removed entirely from all of our materials and business operations.
