Daiso charges 20 cents for this paper bag with their advertised logo on it. That is double the price of stores in the area. It is made of 100% recycled fiber.

Great products at great prices. Quality is definitely worth the price eventhough prices have increased. Great selections with rotating inventory.
East Bay Area Resident
Next to Din Ding dumpling house, Daiso in Union City is One of larger stores in the Daiso chain. The store is well stocked with an assortment of household goods with Japanese branding. Most items are manufactured in China....to no one's surprise. Probably 90% of the items are $1.75. Some are more expensive. They have a good selection of cheap but functional kitchenware and other things you might need around the house. The items they sell aren't meant to be durable but at $1.75 one would not expect them to be. Following Japanese product design philosophy, items are cute and functional. In comparison I wouldn't call similar items at IKEA cute. The store itself is a little on the dim and drab side due to insufficient lighting. They took over an old drug store and kept the lighting.

Face masks and social distancing
Didn't look all that big to me. But yes about a quarter of the store was being remodeled.
They have some basic supplies. Pens/pencils, erasers, markers, pencil cases, notepads and stationary. Might be missing some things here and there, not sure if they have traditional teams of 8.5x11 lined paper.
The weekly hours currently are from 12pm - 6pm
Currently in stock I dont know but I have purchased it many times in the past. Please call them and other store you are close to. I love thier clay because it is very light in weight once dry.

Yes I saw them but the wood handle is tan and the brush hair is dark brown/black. There was bottles of ink in the same section (only two) I did not inspect that section further because it was not on my list of items to buy but they may have other colors please call them. Im not sure of the proper name so it could be difficult for them to help on the phone. The other Daiso may have it as well but I dont know if its in stock.
