Worst experience ever I went in the rental office yesterday after taking off early and was told I can’t get my refundable money order back. The assistant property manager Shawna Was very unprofessional and wasn’t trying to help the situation at all just when I asked for cooperate number!!! I was told she just deposited my money order for 250.00!!! And it takes 2-3 weeks to get it back but that was NEVER mentioned or in the paperwork!!!! I never signed a lease or nothing !!! I was told it was a misunderstanding that’s all Shawna could tell me !!! So unacceptable !!!!!!!!!

I personally like the neighborhood The Place is decent Although in the past Getting maintenance has been an issue it has improved however The kids around here still cause a ton of mischief And we get multiple emails about miners around the neighborhood And they are constantly causing Issues Still it's very quiet around here depending on what time a year it is if they're in school or not I personally still think they should just hire rental cops To cut down on the mischief although I Love living here to be honest I just wish parents would control their kids more

Update 09/01/21: my ac has been fixed and I wanted to give it some time to before I provided feedback. The apartment manager Felicia was amazing throughout the entire process. Her willingness to put in place a system of accountability going forward as well as keeping open communication helped change my mind about how I felt maintenance issues were gonna be in the future. She was her empathetic of my situation and provided solutions to remedy the problem and was on call if I had any additional issues or concerns. It took all of two weeks total to get everything fixed and I’ve had no issues since. So far if it wasn’t for her I don’t think this place would survive. Thanks again Felicia! Update: Maintenance informed me that it wasn’t an emergency that my ac wasn’t working and it’s currently 79 degrees inside. The automated system states that anything over 75 degrees is considered an emergency to which maintenance will respond and come out. He informed me that it has to be over 85 degrees so he would have to come out tomorrow. I find it hard to believe that he would be comfortable paying rent and sleeping in 80 degree heat for a place that advertises A/C. At the very least a portable unit or a fan or two even could have been offered to cool a portion of the home and make it somewhat comfortable. A little effort on his end would have went a long way. Not to mention, this was the second time I called as I got no response and 4/5 hours had gone by. I didn’t expect him to stay and fix it but at least accommodate me with something to help until someone could come and fix it the next day or whenever. I get it no one wants to work on the weekends, but what’s the point of having someone on call and an automated system that states one thing if the live human being is gonna basically say “no the system is wrong this is correct” I’m disappointed mostly I suppose as this isn’t the first awkward interaction I’ve had with a maintenance person. Management is great thus far. I just wish maintenance was on the same page. It’s more or so the area as a whole. Hampton/Newport news and these huge waterbugs 🤢. Other than that I appreciate the community. Mostly quiet no real disturbances or concerns aside from that. I have to say the walls are the thickest I’ve ever experienced in a complex community. You really can’t hear your neighbors when inside. I do love this a lot. I’ll be sure to edit review whenever I move out.

The management needs to do something about the residents and the parking situation. Parking is not assigned , however since the day I moved in I have been harassed by other residents who complain if you park in a spot near their unit . My unit is the furthest unit from the parking lot and I have to drive around multiple lots just to find a spot , then get harassed by the residents. I have sent emails and phone calls to the office about these threats, including notes on my car , confrontations, and having my location revealed and threatened if I parked in a certain area again. I walk alone at midnight almost 3 blocks to my unit as a 19 year old female . This isn’t right and something needs to be done. If parking isn’t assigned then harassment by residents should not be allowed. These residents also say they have talked to the office and the office is aware so the office is allowing the harassment to take place. I am now living the next year of my life in fear due to poor management and harassment. Please do something .
