Very friendly and helpful staff. Outstanding price. Nice continental breakfast. Good Wi-Fi. Rooms are basic. It’s an older property, but right next to the fairgrounds where they hold pony penning. Only issue was the island had a lot of flies this year and they seemed to especially like our room.

We absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay at Birchwood. It was so quiet, relaxing and absolutely perfect. Rooms are super clean and comfy, it was a great location within minutes of everything to do or you could walk to some of the businesses in town. Our only regret was not staying longer! Definitely our go-to for our next adventure in Chincoteague!

We have stayed here for years. Now this year it is under new management, but still great. Rooms have been renovated. We love this area. The beach is great because it's in the National Park. It's just sand and water. Also you have the opportunity to see the wild ponies.

Reasonably priced, room clean, bed comfortable, lighting in room and seating could use an updating. No hair dryer, had to purchase one and the electrical outlet in the bathroom and one on wall beside the bed could use a replacement, my hair dryer and cellphone charger plugs kept falling out. All and all our stay was good.
