Hampton Inn Long Island - Brookhaven

This Hampton Inn location is close to a shopping center with several restaurants. The rooms are clean and the employees are courteous. Overall its a nice place to stay. Two minor things to keep in mind. There is a $10 / night parking fee. Also, it is right next to a main highway. Neither of these things are bad, but something to be aware of when you make your choice of where to stay.

Overall our stay at this location was below average. On our first night there was no parking available and we had to park at the shopping center at 11:00 p.m. we were charged for parking even though there was no parking available. When complained to the front desk we were told 'if you don't see anything out there then we don't have parking available ' regardless we were charged on checkout. Cleanliness of the room was below average and had weird odor. In addition the gym had dust all over the floor and equipment were not cleaned.

This hotel should be rated 4+ stars. Worth every penny and then some. I have stayed in a 4STAR HOTEL in San Diego that could not come near the quality of the Hampton Inn. I was so happy and pleased with all the accommodations. It does not get better than this place for a reasonably priced hotel.

Needs updated bathroom fixtures. Sound proofing for rooms. Lol Booked king bed and was told it wasn't ready, that I could take a double twin until ready ... I did and they never called to say it was ready. Smh. I ask to book the same room for the same price they said go on the app ... while I'm at the front desk....the prices are different in person and on app why ??? Breakfast has limited choices for kids. The boiled eggs are kept cold. The sausage patties looked microwaved and partially undone. My room had a bed w a dangerous metal bar sticking out of one of the bed frames. Furniture needs updating...mine was scraped up old looking. TV is old. Carpet stained. Bathroom fixtures need updating. Pool area needs pool toys and updating. I saw rust above the pool beams showing corrosion. Overall my families stay was under par for the kind of money we paid. Still haven't been contacted about being injured or room downgrade refund. Sad.
