We ate here last week, after just doing takeout a few times. AMAZING. Great food, great service, huge portions, very accommodating for my food sensitivities. Mario was a great waiter, very attentive. Overall 10/10 experience(and I’m usually extremely picky)!! Good to know we have such a gem like El Mexicano right here in Sanford!

I never leave negative reviews, but wow is this place bad. Staff is uninterested, lazy, and flat out rude. A kid is sprinting up and down the aisles while I'm waiting for somebody to talk to us. Waiter walks away in the middle of my mother asking questions. The same waiter is sitting at the table behind ours, gabbing with his friends about how he doesn't care about his job. Separately from all of that, my father saw a living cockroach walking under the wall/bathroom area. Overall, we didn't even wait to get our food because we were out. Would give a zero if Icould, place should be out of Business with staff like this. Absolutely a clown show, I have no idea how this has the rating it does. Must be bots/paid for. Go to the Applebee's next door, at least they have a working microwave.

Food is always absolutely amazing and our service was fantastic. Highly recommend. Also, they aren't on the menu but they have tamales that are So Good

Really can't say enough good things..... food was incredible, service wasprompt and pleasant and all at a fair price. Highly recommend!
