Yes, take the Amtrak downeaster train south to North station. Then switch over to the red line at Park Street and get off at Charles/mgh

Academy Taxi is right in town. And there are plenty of uber drivers around.

The train station is a stop for Amtrak Downeaster. It is a pavilion. On the right side of the pavilion is an original station. There is a cafe' that serves breakfast and lunch and a convenience store. There are no rooms to rent.
