Beautiful park with lakes, streams, and waterfalls. We paid $10 for parking. The walk to Awosting falls was nice and short, ~10 to 15 to the bottom of the falls from the parking lot. To reach any other falls (like the Peterskill falls), I'd suggest driving to them because we continued on the trail past Awosting falls and while it follows the gentle stream the scenery does not change much (no other waterfalls) and it ends after another 1-2 miles rather abruptly. The walk around Lake Minnewaska is pleasant and very well maintained. It's maybe 2-3 miles total with gradual inclines. To reach the small pebble beach area, take the trail towards the right from the visitor's center (good for small kids, probably).

Amazing place to visit any time of the year. Autumn is the most colorful, the foliage season is almost like in Vermont. Summer time to enjoy hiking, waterfalls and lake. Huge parking lot, well maintained facilities. Great place to spend time with family in the nature.

Beautiful views and many different hikes for all to go on. They have an easy loop to walk that's under 2 miles around the lake and has small rocks and pebbles to make it easier to walk on and cuts down on the bugs. We had a group of varying hiking levels and all had a good time walking it, no hands necessary. Nice and breezy even though it was in the 80s when we went, so bringing a windbreaker and a hat is a very good idea. The drive up to the mountain top was a big winding, but also very scenic. Would hike again 👍

This is a beautiful park, we did the Gertrude's Nose and Millbrook Mountain Brook loop and really enjoyed it! Beautiful views along the hike and our little dog especially enjoyed the rock scrambling.

If you are looking to go to Gertrude's nose, which I highly recommended, you start out at the upper parking lot, her towards the lake. Take the lake minnewaska carriageway, then millbrook mountain carriageway to Gertrude's nose trail.

About 100 meters to the overlook. Probably difficult to get to the waters edge due to terrain and steep grade in a wheelchair.
