We found this place a few years ago and I'll tell you when we leave i cant wait to go back. Great for families to reconnect. Less than 5 minutes and you are at Weirs Beach, take a boat ride on the Mt Washington to see how absolutely beautiful lake Winnipesaukee can be.

Started going as a kid abt 14 years old with my parents... (loved it as a kid)...the boardwalk is close (walking distance)..the beach is nice and clean...cottages are well maintained. The staff has always been great!!!. My brother and his family continued to go every year since...I stopped going for abt 20 years due to life changes..I went back for the first year last 2014 with my family and its was great. ...hasn't changed a bit...loved it as a kid..love it more as a adult...A truly great place to take your family on vacation.....I truly look forward to going again this August..and will continue to go every year..

Greatest family vacation spot in New England! I have been going since the mid sixties as a little kid and have brought my family for many years. Great location with unbelievable hosts who truly make you feel like family. Simple and timeless with crystal clear water and wonderful views. The friendships that both adults and the kids develop at Abakee are life long and priceless! It's not just a vacation, its a fantastic family experience. You are close to everything but you will probably not want to leave the compound once you get there. Can't wait to go back so leave the light on for us Denise!
