So beautiful during dark. The light gives off such a special and dreamlike atmosphere. It's a special ride for both kids and adults. Just 5 USD per ride.

After a wonderful round trip on the Staten Island Ferry we wandered over toward Battery Park. SO happy that one of the friendly “SEAGLASS” attendants caught us staring into that glowing carousel just after a spectacular mid-October Sunset. She hollered out “Come ON, guys! It’s not just for kids! You’ll love it”. And she was so right! We had a blast! Interesting getting belted into a giant fish, but once the ride starts the fun goes to a number 10. Can’t recall that last time I laughed so hard all through any type of “ride”. The music is mesmerizing, the light show will take you away as you swirl and gallop around the circular indoor stage on your personal Fantasy Fish. For $5 it’s the best value in New York! (After the subway, that is)

This place is an absolute gem! It is so beautifully made down to the details of the fish, the ethereal music, and psychedelic lighting. Really feels like you are magically transported under the sea! Even the building is shaped like a modern sea shell. So worth the trip out to battery park! It costs $5 for a ticket, but the ride is pretty short. If you're there to take photos I'd suggest getting multiple tickets. They don't let you walk around to photograph. Also go during the week days to try to avoid lots of people. Really beautiful tucked away space that adds some whimsical to the busy city!

One of the most interesting carousels, and definitely the most creative one! It looks pretty different during the day and at night. Recommending going there before sunset so you can get both two types of views. Tickets can be reserved and can also be bought at the spot.

It's beautiful at night
If you get off at the 1 train stop at South Ferry, you can actually see the carousel if you face the water with the buildings behind you (it's a short, round glass building). If you get off at Bowling Green, face the federal building (the Alexander Hamilton Custom House where the courts, the Smithsonian, and the National Archives are located) and walk around the federal building to the right. You'll immediately see Battery Park and the water. Follow the sidewalk along the park until you're behind the federal building. You'll see the South Ferry subway stop and nearby is the carousel.
Yes, absolutely.
They usually charge $5 bucks and yes they're open all week
I paid with cash
Atlanta is no where near the Sea . That is sll I have to say on that!
I don't think so
Hi Isaac, We are open from 10am-10pm, daily! Thank you, The SeaGlass Team
The actual designs you sit on inside are lit all the time. Very nice. Can't speak for the outside. Haven't noticed.
Yes http://www.seaglasscarousel.nyc/plan-your-visit/
Yes they allow you to film a take pics inside at night when it glows even better
They also have 1 or 2 fish that are made for wheelchairs to roll onto
No covid hours... Its open and if you have covid you must go, if you are fine just go in and they ask everyone to put mask inside and also they are social distancing on rides and also inside is limited so we felt safe
