This is probably the most interesting take I've seen on traditional Israeli food. Nice ambience to the place, my wife and I came in together and I found something warm about the atmosphere. Lots of artistic spirit in how the food is cooked and served. Mediterranean platter (basically an appetizer sampler) is definitely recommended, Great bread, hummus, a couple of kinds of techina, charif and a bunch of other appetizers make it worth trying in my opinion. We also ordered a salmon kebab which was juicy and literally melted in my mouth. It comes with 2 side dishes. As all artistic places, this place is not cheap. The sampler cost $24 and the kebab (with 4 medium size pieces) cost $26. These two dishes were just a little more than my wife and I needed to be full (we did come in very hungry), but $50 before tax and tips (for a really polite and excellent service, very well earned) was a little on the expensive side. We did come in for lunch, and I heard that their dinner portions are bigger. Very nice experience if you haven't been here yet, definitely worth trying.

Wow - this place is phenomenal. Everything was fresh and delicious. It’s BYOB and there’s a stocked liquor and wine store across the street = match made in heaven. Tons of options for vegans and meatans alike. The service was stretched a little thin, but that’s par for the course these days. It’s a little loud inside - some sound absorbing measures should go down. But overall, there’s a reason this place has such high ratings. Definitely try the appetizer sampler.

The food ,service and owner are amazing. The food is so fresh. Best homemade pita bread I have ever eaten. Avi knows how to run a restuarant pre during and post Covid. It is a must. You feel like you are eating at a home in Israeli. Doesn’t miss a detail.

Such a great food, the chicken pargiot (chicken thighs) were delicious, and the sides salad and rice were also excellent. This is probably the best hummus in Bergen county so in case you're a hummus lover than Zula should be your go-to place.
