My husband and I have always had an amazing experience here and the food has and still is amazing! Our favorite place to eat! However, my husband went in today to pick up take out, had a few minutes to wait so he decided to sit at the bar. Not only could the hostess not be bothered but was chomping away blowing bubbles with her gum. Time and a place for that not during your shift at a restaurant. The bartender could not be bothered as well. He tried to order a simple beer but was cut off before he could even get the words out. This was after he had been sitting at least 20 minutes. We both understand places of business can be busy, we always try to be extra courteous and tip 30%. Please try to acknowledge a patron entering your restaurant with some professionalism and act like you want to be there. Don’t ruin the face of a great restaurant. We will of course be coming back and giving Basil Leaf our business!

I was pleasantly shocked with the food here. Having been in the restaurant business my whole career I know high quality dishes when I see them. The baked clams were hands down the best I have ever had and could eat about twenty of them and want more .The fried Calamari was better than most and was obviously cooked in new clean oil with its nice light color yet still crispy. The Utica Greens were nice too even though I don’t like peppers , I was able to work around them and still really enjoy them. My friend and I both had seafood dishes over pasta. Beautiful shrimp and scallops perfectly cooked and the white wine was lovely. I would have preferred a touch more garlic in the dish but next time I will just request that. Excellent service by a young lady named Katlyn made the entire dinner an exceptional experience. Kudos to this owner on their beautiful establishment .

Really nice restaurant. Good food choices, wonderful decor, and friendly staff. Nice quiet dining, social distancing is not a problem with high back, booth style seating. The restaurant has been there for a while and when trying to decide where to go, Basil Leaf was brought up. Great choice! I am glad we went.

We started with the Utica Greens and they were delicious. I got a salad and the wife got the soup and they were good. I got the Veal Piedmontese ( something new for me)and that was very good. I got a side of meatballs and the were ok. My wife got the Chicken alla Parmigiana and she liked that. Place was clean. Server was nice.
