Orbakers Drive In Restaurant

Was up from NC on vacation, grew up in Ontario. We stoped in because my wife always loved Orbakers. The food came to us cold, the tables in the dining room were all dirty and the floor was dirty. Prices are high and food quality was fair,not like was years ago. Such a shame, used to be great. We will go to Charlies or Bill Grays next time we are in town.

Orbakers has always been one of my favorite places to go for a burger and ice cream. Today we drove 30 minutes to get there because we enjoy going there so much. I am not a person to complain, but the last two times we have been there the service has been horrible and food not up to par. Today the tables were filthy, food was cold and we could not get ice cream because the staff kept ignoring us even though they weren’t waiting on other customers. Didn’t seem to be any management. I think we are done going there.

After leaving Rochester 10 years ago I was anxiously awaiting returning here on a recent trip. My mouth was watering for one of my favorites, either a Glutton burger or a Dutch burger. After my arrival I couldn't decide and ordered them both. They both looked so good when placed on the table, pictures were taken and extra hot sauce was added to the Glutton burger. It didn't take more than a bite to realize someone had changed the hot sauce recipe since I was last there 😠. If you have a good thing just leave it alone. I don't know if ownership changed or somebody thought they would try to make it better. It's NOT. It now tastes more like just adding chili vs there delicious unique hot sauce.

Staff was very nice. Large menu. Fish was perfectly cooked and not a ton of breading. Burger was great. Hard roll was perfect with it. My root beer float was delicious. Chili was spicy but not over the top. Very good.
