Yes, as your billing office, Emax answers all patient calls concerning about their medical bills. Our patient-friendly staff answers detailed questions about patient bills. And for large balances we can set up patient payment plans based on your patient financial policy.
Directly into your bank account. Most insurance payments are made by electronic funds transfers (EFTs) directly to your bank, and Emax receives corresponding electronic remittance advices. For check-based payments, we can provide our lowest fees if the payments come directly to Emax so that we can manage patient accounts efficiently, and those checks are deposited remotely into your bank account. Alternatively, you can choose a bank that provides a “lock box” service.
That depends on which method works best for you. If you prefer to work with paper encounters or your practice is small, you can scan encounters, or upload PDFs, directly to our secure server. If you don’t have a scanner, we can help that, too. If you have a high volume of encounters, we can set up an interface to your EHR system to collect your encounters automatically.

Yes. Emax can provide billing and revenue cycle management (RCM) services in nearly all 50 states.
Like most revenue cycle management (RCM) companies, Emax charges a percentage of the reimbursements it collects for its clients. The percentage varies depending on the specialty, size of the practice, and scope of services requested. Typically, Emax’s fees are below the national average. Contact Emax to set up a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss your needs.
The Healthcare Business Management Association (HBMA) accreditation means that Emax’s policies and procedures have been verified to adhere to HIPAA/HITECH requirements and comply with the OIG and more. In short, HBMA accreditation provides assurance to healthcare providers that Emax categorically safeguards their protected health information (PHI) and adheres to the highest standards in revenue cycle management.
