What a GREAT place...I was given some very unique and beautiful pieces from furniture to linens to crystal bowls complete set of China and flatware to many electronics. I now have everything I didn't have for my new home. Thanks for the referral Father Bill's program.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING these people were so kind and generous, gave us all the furniture and household supplies we needed plus some, and we'll be forever grateful.

Hello good afternoon
Hi, thanks for your question, but we only pick up in Acton, MA and surrounding towns.
Hi, thanks for your question. During their scheduled appointment, a client selects and takes home all items at the time of their visit, so there's no way to put something on hold.
Hi, yes Household Goods does accept working vacuum cleaners. Thanks!
Thanks for the question. We do take entertainment centers, but cannot take those that have glass shelves or are metal or are taller than 6 1/2 feet. Thank you!
Thanks for your question, but we don't accept sheets or other linens that are ripped. Feel free to donate the fitted sheet, though, if it is in good shape.
Hi, thanks for thinking of us, but we only do pick ups in the Acton, MA area.
Hi, thanks for thinking of Household Goods. When donating, we ask that you select items that are in good condition, that will last, and that our clients will be proud to have in their homes. If the chair without a new cover fits that bill, we would love to have it. Unfortunately, we do not pick up in Lincoln (we have very limited pick up service, staffed by volunteers), but if you can find a way to get it to Household Goods, our donation drop off hours are Tues, Thurs, and Sat from 9am to noon. Thank you again.
Hi, we accept donations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 9am to noon. Thanks for thinking of us!
They will start with an appointment - they need the help of an "agency" to book the appointment. Agencies can be a church, DTA workshop, or MAPS. They also need a truck to take the furniture they choose. http://www.maps-inc.org/
No, only furniture and household items.
Sorry, we only work with people in Massachusetts.
Thanks for thinking about Household Goods, but we don't take laptops.
Hi. Everyone who receives furniture and household items from Household Goods needs a referral from a social service agency, healthcare provider, faith community, or other organization. If you have a case manager or social worker, ask them to set up an appointment by completing the online referral. If you do not have a case manager or social worker, you can try contacting other agencies that refer to Household Goods, including your local housing authority, social service agencies, DTA offices, schools, places of worship, or community health agencies.
Hi, thanks for your question. We do accept donated carpets and generally carry a variety of sizes, but because we are dependent on donated items, our inventory varies day to day, so we can't guarantee a certain size when someone visits.
Hi, thanks for contacting us. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we no longer have our volunteer pick ups, but Marks Moving does offer pick up for a fee. You can read the requirements here https://householdgoods.org/donate/donate-goods/pickup. Please note that we do not accept desks but would welcome the love seats. Thanks again.
Hi, Due to Covid restrictions, we are not currently offering pick up services (and Rowley would not be in our pick up area). We are working with a mover who is doing pick ups for $100, but I'm not sure Rowley is in his service area. You can find out about that program on our website: https://householdgoods.org/donate/donate-goods/pickup/
Hi, thanks so much for thinking of Household Goods. Due to Covid restrictions, donors need to make an appointment to drop off items. You can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/household-goods Thanks again.
Hi, thanks for thinking of Household Goods. Due to restrictions during Covid-19, we have suspended our volunteer pick up service. We do have an arrangement with Mark's Moving, who is scheduling pick ups ($100) if you would be interested in going that route. You can read details here: https://householdgoods.org/donate/donate-goods/pickup/
Thanks for your question, but we do not take any shampoo. We take household items and furniture.
Hi, yes we do take furniture - sofas, chairs, tables. Donation drop off hours are Tues, Thurs, Sat from 9am to noon.
Hi, we do have a limited pick up service for people living in Acton and surrounding towns. You can learn more here: https://householdgoods.org/donate/donate-goods/pickup
Hi, thanks for asking - yes, we welcome working vacuum cleaners
Hi, thanks for thinking of Household Goods. Unfortunately, we only pick up in Acton and surrounding towns. Our drop off hours are Tues, Thurs, Sat, from 9am to noon if there’s any way you can get the furniture to us.
Hi, we do offer limited pick up of furniture and large appliances in Acton, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Littleton, Maynard, Stow, Sudbury and Westford. Pick ups are scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9am – noon. Please submit a pick up request to secure a date. Just a heads up that we are currently booking in mid June. Details are here: https://householdgoods.org/donate/donate-goods/pickup
That’s correct, we do take mattresses and box springs if they are clean and in good condition.
Household Goods typically accepts donations Tues, Thurs, and Sat from 9am-12noon, but please check our website for holiday closings. Www.householdgoods.org
Hi, the way we work is that we provide items by appointment. An agency would need to refer you and schedule it for you. We accept referrals from housing authorities, food pantries, DTA offices, churches, etc.. If you are working with any type of agency they could schedule an appointment for you. Does your town have a social service coordinator? They could refer you also. I hope this helps.
Thanks for thinking of Household Goods to donate your items, but we only pick up in Acton and surrounding towns.
Thanks for thinking of us, but we don't take exercise equipment.
I recommend calling to ask that question. To my knowledge, toddler beds have been accepted but not cribs.
As long as it's in good working order, we will gratefully take the sewing machine - it's an item that is in high demand from our clients. Thank you for thinking of us!
Household Goods gratefully accepts all the types of items that you mention that are in good condition (for example, no stains on mattresses). Sadly, we can't do pick ups from Medford. We're open for drive in donations on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings from 9 until noon. Please visit our website for complete information. Thanks
Yes but call to make arrangements and they must be in good shape.
Yes, you can call and schedule a pickup from Acton or any town that touches Acton on the map. There is a suggested $35 donation to defray the cost of operating the truck.
I'd donate to them anything you might deem helpful to a family. A set of tools would be a wonderful help to a struggling family.
