Small park but beautiful views of the river. Places for picnics and fishing. Also have places to launch small boats, kayaks, and canoes. Nice place to take your leashed dog for a walk.

A beautiful, tranquil spot to spend an hour with nature. Florida to the core. The type of place that freaks you out a little when you hear rustling in the bushes. There is free parking.

Jan 28th 2022 Peace be with you. Pretty good fishing for kids if you get there sunrise early. Bring mosquito repellent. Wear boots, long socks, long pants, and long sleeved shirt during early morning hours. Head lamps recommended. Novice fishermen: Reseach Drop shot sink. Used that technique with sharp bait hook, pole holder, fat whole worms, near bank, medium gear, lots of snags. Species caught Big Blue Gill and Medium Sized Blue Catfish. Remember always leave the spot cleaner than you found it and have fishing license. Yeshua is Lord. God bless. A short walking gem on the far end of Laurel Rd, that has a view of what must be the very most Northern point of the Myakka . Many people launch their kayaks here as there is a dock with an easy kayak cradle.
