I absolutely love this place! I hope to make a lot more trips here during the summer! It's a huge park with beautiful views (and birding sights!) and it's a great visit no matter what time of the year - it's my favorite! :-)

Nice park with family and pet friendly trails around the perimeter of this small island on the Hudson river. Approximately 2 mile perimeter and several points of environmental and historical interest along the trail. A small young children play area and picnic tables near the car park.

i have to give the town of Schuylerville to make the lock into a nice park for the towns people, you can hike, fish, picnic, playgrounds, take a boat rids plus visit a historical place. all this in a nice area. i thought we would do a quick hike and be on our way but we spent at least 3 hour enjoying the morning.
