Nestled in a very quiet wooded area. Not easy to find due to lack of signage en route but Google maps does it's job. Due to lack of popularity of this place, it's not very crowded. Once you arrive at the parking area, the fall is about a minute down from there. Porta potty is there at the parking area. Just one, but it was the cleanest I've ever seen. It took my whole family by surprise. While hiking towards falls and before the falls there is small picnic area with about 3-4 picnic benches. As usual you have to take out your trash. Talking about trash, it was overflowing at the time. No swimming allowed but you can we your feet. Water was not that clean and was not a lot of water falls. This year has been the first though. We hiked around the falls. It is on the left side of you are interested. It's rugged but doable. If hiking above the falls you will encounter more cascades and it is beautiful too. You can also hike with the flow and although we didn't get a chance, I believe it leads to where it merges in to the reservoir. Cell service is okay. We were able to talk but video calls were not great. Overall we enjoyed our trip here and did not encounter pesky bugs.

Great little place. Large parking lot and short walk to falls. There are other trails off that spot people have created. Definitely would check out again.

Absolutely amazing waterfall & great sight to see, and even bring your kids if you have them. It's plenty safe & easy to get to, and less than 5 min of a walk from the parking lot. - There is also 2 picnic tables, with a charcoal grill each per table if anyone ever wanted to grill here, it's possible, just please always be sure to be kind to nature & take every spec of trash out with you. Thanks for considering Wahconah Falls, I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

Beautiful place. Parking lot available. The waterfall isn't far from the parking. Easy hike. We even took our child in his wagon. He had fun climbing into the rocks. Our family had a nice time there. Saw alot of hikers come and go.

Yes!
That would be up to the state department that runs the state parks and most likely donations to get the signage made to tell that history. Even though it should have been there in the first place, IMHO.
