The food is amazing, with LARGE portions! Prices are extremely reasonable, we even ordered some to go! The wait staff is wonderful and were very welcoming. Wish this place was in Maryland! Highly recommend this place!

Cannot say enough good things about the food here. Everything is good! I live in Colorado now and this is the only fish fry I will eat when I come home. The bar is another place I usually find myself when I come back into town. Great group of people that work there and hang out. It’s never a disappointment.

Great sandwiches and the best fish fry in the Southtowns. Set in historic Kaisertown, this is a landmark of the old neighborhood. Help preserve our history and stop in for a pint!

We went late afternoon on a Saturday, and I was surprised how empty it was. Great food in an old town Buffalo tavern. I had their famous beer-battered haddock fish fry ($12.95). It was as good as I've heard it was. My fried ad the Gyro with feta ($7.50). It doesn't come with any sides, so he order coleslaw ($2.25). The slaw was homemade and delicious, but unnecessary as the gyro literally looked like it had a salad on top of it. They are generous with all portions, and he we pleased. A third in out party had a hodgepodge heir famous beef on weck ($8.25), hot dog ($2.20), small curly cue fries ($2.75), small french fires ($2.25). The last in our party had the Cajun burger ($8.25). It was large and looked good. Soda pop is served out of cans for $1.25, and coffer is $1.75. Atmosphere & patrons are classic Kaisertown tavern. The food is delicious. Only reason they don't get five stars is the bathroom, which was so filthy, I had to take a whole star away in the rating. Bottom line, worth the trip, but don't use the bathroom.

Everyone says how great their food is. I Had a fish fry from there once, the fish didn't have any taste and the coleslaw, potato salad and macaroni salad all tasted like the brand called Grandmas. Not sure how their other food is, I didn't like the fish fry at all so I haven't been back.
Today being Friday, I am sure they have the full Friday menu of fish fry and other seafood. Best to check the Facebook page for details.
Only so many per table. U must wear a mask at all times unless seated. Think they had plexiglass too
No reservations required, as someone stated in their review, you place your name and the number of people in your party on a list. At this time of the year[lant], its extremely busy. Its advisable to get there early. And yes there can be a long waiting period. There fore be prepared. The food is worth the wait and you won't leave hungry, about extensive sea food menu, plus other options. Highly recommand if you can wait it out My family members as myself are frequent patrons
