Although the City of Lowell has come along from the boarded up windows in the 90's. Us Lowellians feel that the city has changed to a city of crime!

Well it's not the same city I grew up in, but it's still moving forward. Hopefully we can just get our crime level down...

I went on the commuter rail for the first time since Covid began, expecting at least SOME precautions to be taking place. Not only were there NONE at all, the employees that check your tickets WEREN’T MASKED! I saw an employee, right next to me, unmasked, fist bump another passenger, UNMASKED. If you’re going to set rules for Covid, at least make people follow them. No seats were blocked off and a group of people sat next to me UNMASKED. No social distancing rules were put in place. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable. This is unexceptable.

Been riding Lowell Commuter Rail Station, for 4 1/2 Years, I would say, this place has changed so much the last few years.... Late Afternoon Law Enforcement in or at station, security being proactive and solving problems..... The 2 Huge Guys doing security is making me and others feel safer at this station... Bravo FELLAS'!!!

$8 Daily $16 Overnight. Both cash only.
No, the station is closed for reconstruction
Yes, but out bound buy it in north station. Across 🚻. If you don't buy it there there will be extra fee on board.
Probably more likely to get good answers on the Lowell Reddit or Lowell Live Feed Facebook page. I've personally have never had a problem with it, but I'm a big scary looking person myself so grain of salt and all.
It goes to North Station. From there you can take the easy ride bus or the subway to South station
15-20 minute walk.
It's $10.
The Umass Inn and Conference Center is right down town, so a five minute shuttle ride. But they also operate as dorms most of the year with fee rooms available. Another small downtown option is expected to be completed on Market Street in 2021 next to the Greek Restaurant. For now though going slightly backwards you can get a 10 minute Uber right to some big traditional hotels on Industrial Ave right off the highway (Lowell Connector, Routes 3 and 495).
The 1 trip daily schedule varies, & tickets sell fast...sometimes whole months are already booked well in advance! BUY YOUR TICKETS WELL IN ADVANCE TO AVOID NOT GETTING A SEAT!!! The link to *Ourbus Co. is https://www.ourbus.com/bookticket *They provide bus transportation once daily from Lowell-Worcester. Depending on date typical fares: $10-$15
You can, but you'll be paying for both days that the car is in the garage.
Currently the fare is $10 one way, $20 round trip. The Lowell Station does NOT sell tickets so you buy them on board the train.
