If you tent camp, I wouldn’t recommend reserving sites 1-10 as it is near the busy highway 101. However, if you camp with a trailer/RV and reserve sites 1-10 it is perfect! Yes, there is no privacy as the sites are a bit close together- but not a bothersome if your neighbor is respectful. The only con is the beach is across the busy highway- there is a cross walk, but wish they would install a traffic light instead for safety reasons. The beach itself is beautiful and a great place to hang out and spend some quality time with family. This is my first time to camp here and I can say that I am a happy camper. The campground is well maintained and the staff/ranger are very friendly and respectful. Yes, I will be returning next year.

Nice park with plenty of shade. Facilities are clean. 20 foot vehicle length limit on smaller loop. One star ding for adjacent highway which is a bit noisy during the day but quiet at night. Found a 2-3 foot diameter jelly fish on the beach while we were there. Wow!

Nice state park and seems many outdoor activities EXCEPT unexpected $99 parking ticket from WA state police within a 30 mins quick stop. WATCH out for parking at any state park without so called Discover Pass.

Thanks! Any other recommendations for a counterclockwise trip around Olympic area after potlatch. Have 4 days after potlatch.
Its open
Discovery Pass or I believe $10? I might be wrong on the price but shouldn't be much more. Dogs on leash are allowed
No electricity on the site
I think so, but check the web site
State parks usually run 35-40.00 a day for full hook-ups during peak season.
Potlatck park is great a little traffic but nice park access to beach for oysters and clams. Clean bathrooms nice big sites. You'll love it
Thank you to everyone who responded. Your information was really helped me.
You need to bring your our warter, all so across the road is a place to park RV, if you won't to stay for the night or longer.
No. With our kids...we take a frisbee or ball. Beach shoes. If tide is out can skip stones look for shells. Take bread feed the seagulls. Fly a kite. If warm weather can swim but need beach shoes rocky shelly beach. If tide is out to the right of restroom on the beach there is an underground waterfall where the pier use to be. It is a nice little exploring thing to do.
No. You can get discover passes about everywhere else though.
About 2.5hr depending on traffic. Approx the same as taking the Bremerton/Seattle ferry
Really
