I would avoid this organization. I adopted a 1.5 year old male cat back in late September that had terrible smelling diarrhea. The volunteer at PetSmart mentioned that his dry food was very rich so I thought it was the diet change and/or stress. I took him to the vet (which because of the pandemic, I had to wait 3 weeks) and it turns out that he had giardia - a highly contagious parasite. Thankfully, I had only just started introductions so my other cat did not catch it. I contacted the organization mainly to warn them of the exposure to the other adoptable cats at PetSmart - they did not even offer compensation. Since we had some behavioral issues in the beginning (which probably weren't apparent because he was so sick), I was tempted to return the cat, but I certainly did not want to have him back with such a negligent organization. I understand this a volunteer organization, but it seems they are not properly vetting their fosters - Buyer beware!
Keep Forgetting
This place is the HOT DOG water of adoption/rescues. simple as that. If you want a pet just go to place where they KNOW what they're doing, and wont give YOU an attitude due to their OWN incompetence. They speak to you as if adopting pets were your job and you should just know this information. So "matter of fact:, then because the staff are all volunteers(and they have no idea the definition of the word. They treat you as if theyre doing you a favor, no that they are doing a JOB for free out of the goodness of their hearts. So you sense no passion or love just bitter karen energy. I wish i remembered the names of the two females one i spoke to in person(sort of) and the one i interrupted her dinner at 5pm, mean while their business (because you have to pay them for the pet, its not free) closes at 6pm. I'm sorry i should have known you eat dinner during business hours, again i apologize for my total lack of clairvoyance.(nope im just kidding! i have zero sympathy, because as a business person. Your attitude should change accordingly. I wasn't calling you to catch up on the family) And due to us calling which interrupted her dinner(mind you she did not answer the phone.. so was going to call us back) she called back with an attitude and then told us she could not do business with us because; "Your not the type of people we do business with" what? we never met, we didnt even have an interaction. what a Shhhh*t show. So she banned us from doing any kind of adoption. for interrupting her dinner.. So yes horrible experience, all for a kitten my son really wanted and unfortunately couldn't get. Thanks again you absolute $h*ts

Adopted a cat to my husband and I to be a brother to our other cat. Unknown to us the kitten not only had been neutered 5 days before we received him he also had feline herpes. He ended up with a nasty upper respiratory infection that almost killed him. After a very expensive emergency vet bill the rescue denied knowing he was sick and offered no help with the bill or helping him get better. When he passed the feline herpes to our other cat the original cat also got an upper respiratory. We knew we couldn’t afford to give the kitten the life he deserved and made the heartbreaking choice to give him back even though I really didn’t even want them to have him again. They were not helpful at all when I tried to arrange getting the kitten back to them and even shamed me while I was visibly upset over parting ways with the kitten I had grown to love immediately after getting him. My original cat is doing better, he’ll most likely have herpes for life and will be on a lysine supplement for life. I won’t be working with them again they’re very unprofessional.
