I just so happened to stumble across this while in Pitman, let me just say there take on a "Vegan" Pork Roll Egg & Cheese was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Job well done! I haven't had a pork roll in years, which is a true "Jersey" staple! This sandwich was Delicious! Try it for yourself, you'll see😊 I'll definitely be back! Thank you Ladies💜

This adorable vegan cafe is a MUST if you find yourself in Pitman, NJ, or anywhere near by. The food was absolutely amazing. My family and I are not accustomed to vegan cuisine but we wanted to try something new! I got the beyond burger (it was incredible, this may be the permanent go to from now on), and my family each ordered the “BLT” and that too was so scrumptious. We left feeling happy, healthy, and with full bellies. The owners are incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Please PLEASE give this place a try, I promise you will not be disappointed. I live over an hour away and I may just have to ride back down to the The Gentle Giant for lunch soon.

Sadly I don't have any photos of the delicious food, I scarfed it down while driving. I ordered a BLT, loxless bagels & cream cheeze and a coconut Oreo that is baked into a coconut chocolate chip cookie. The bagel has carrot (vegan) lox, and I think it tiny sprigs of fennel and cucumber and red onions all on vegan cream cheeze. The BLT is marinated bacon tempeh, lettuce & tomato. Everything was absolutely delicious and a good sized portion for a great price. It was less than $20. Had I known they were priced so well i would have ordered more items to bring home for dinner. The cafe is clean and cute. There is a free public parking lot directly across the street do you don't have to walk more than a minute.

By brother and best friend both recommended that I try this place out and since then it has easily become one of my favorite cafes. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking to try someplace new, I highly recommend this cafe. Especially if you are struggling to find good vegan places or curious about trying vegan cooking. The food is excellent, the staff is welcoming, and the area itself has great. The Gentle Giant Cafe is the place to be!
