The emergency room is theee worst. Now they are using covid as a crutch to not let people go back with the person (thought we were past that). BUT the waiting room is packed with potential covid because apparently there's no beds and the wait time in the lobby is at least 1.5 to 2 hours. They are rude and dismissive about your symptoms. Come here if you're only ready to die because putting you in the morgue seems to be the easiest thing for them to do.

Terrible. I had an appointment for pediatric gastro, went to building A as that’s where it was supposed to be, couldn’t find the office anywhere. Had to go to front desk for help and I was told it’s in A building fifth floor, went all the way back to building A to floor 5 and was told that gastro moved a block down. It was no fun getting there, no directions, no address, no signs, and when I finally got there the building was horribly run down. Found the gastro office in the corner with no signs and was told I was 11 minutes late, 1 minute pass their "10 minute no show" policy, they were on lunch break so they didn’t answer the phone which I’ve been calling for the past half hour. Now I have to wait another month or more for an appointment.

They had a horrible anesthesia billing department. I’m am so frustrated dealing with them I had epidural bill for $2975 and my insurance paid $2318. They keep sending me a bill for the rest. My insurance said by law they’re not allowed to charge us and not to pay and they already paid the maximum allowance. Now they’re threading to send us to collections for a bill we don’t owe. It’s frustrating not being able to go through someone else because I would never go through them. On the phone they were rude and didn’t seem to care. My experience having a baby there was great. The staff was really helpful and kind. But they need to fix their anesthesia provider.

I’ve relied on the excellent group of caregivers at Providence for years to take great care of me and my family. From imaging, emergency room visits, surgeries and extended stays in their state of the art NICU, there is never a time I haven’t been unbelievably grateful to have such an incredible health care center to depend on. They’ve mastered medicine but also compassion, which is sometimes not the case in healthcare facilities. I’ve never had to wait long for any service and my questions are always answered thoroughly and with smiles. Today I needed a scan and was fortunate to have Dylan taking care of me but most every staff member there has made me feel completely comfortable. On a side note, I’ve spent a lot of time in their cafeteria and gift shop, both unexpectedly impressive. The gift shop has a cadre or dedicated volunteers who work there along side the regular employees, which is always wonderful to see. In fact, there are many volunteer opportunities that Providence has created to allow the community to help those who might be in need. They also have a Subway, pharmacy and a couple of coffee shops in the building. When you are there for extended periods, having these services really makes a difference. They maintain a beautiful chapel open to the public and plenty of quiet places for visitors who need a moment to sit and reflect to find on each floor. Providence is proud of their employees, the services they offer and their presence in Alaska, and well they should be.

Should be the one to the right of the main entrance. They have big numbers over every door.
I guess everybody is busy.
Yes there's help for all of that.
They do have some, but it is underserved. You can go through the ER.
That I do not know. Sorry.
Call information desk at the main hospital.
3851 Piper Street and I believe on the 3floor
You are welcome to come to the clinic to speak to the onsite pharmacist and they will gladly direct you with information to help you.
I don't know if they do or not. Have you checked with Alaska regional? Honestly, I think they are a better hospital than providence anyways.......
And if you mention suicide be prepared for nearly a one year stay ot for them to say that you were obviously faking it otherwise you'd stay longer.
I don't recall seeing that fee, although Providence refused to explain any of the charges. I had to research all the 4 dozen line items. I'd say roughly $8000 was charged for unauthorized and unnecessary tests. Many of which had absolutely nothing to do with my ailment. You must ask for itemization and explanation for the charges. Also you can file a grievance with your insurance company for fraudulent charges, excessive waste and unauthorized tests or procedures.
Most basic types I'm sure
