I was born and raised Vermonter. In being so I've seen a lot of changes in the state. One is the cost of everything. I earned my LNA in Vermont, that I personally paid for out of my own savings. Have moved to North Dakota 3 years ago. My LNA is FREE here. Have earned my CMA here for FREE. And earn the same amount of pay without paying the high cost of Vermont's lic. For me to renew my lic. I will be fined over 1,000 unreal. And Very sad that I true Vermonter can never afford to live in there own home state cause of the cost. P.S. I earn 18.86 an hour here in North Dakota.

I just called the Board of Nursing and spoke with a lovely lady who answered on the 2nd ring! She promptly answered my question and wished me a good day. Lynn A. Slepski-Nash, PhD, RN, PHCNS-BC, FAAN

All I need to do is change my address. There is no FAX posted on their website. I tried to do it online and was asked to upload a form that I don't have. When I try to call, I get a female's VM, I left a message, no return call. They are not available for Nurses. I thought that's what they were there for! I'm glad I don't work in VT.

I am back and forth on the phone hours with Pennsylvania who stated the verification was sent out. Getting Vermont on the phone is challenging. The clerk is not rude. Just seem to overwhelm with work to me. Wondering if she is the only one working. In that case, given no other choice but to wait on the phone again. Nurses who may want to work or relocate to Vermont this is a turn off! UPDATE: After talking to the board all clear my License was approved.

Questions & Answers

Does an assisted living facility have the right to give a resident a certain amount of depends each day... Is this legal ?? Her family pays for them but she's very incontinent

She is allowed to use 50 a day if its needed especially if she is extremely incontinent . It doesn't matter who buys them , it would be boarding on resident abuse to leave them wet just because she has a limit on how many time she can change it .. She has the right to be dry and clean , plus she could end up with skin breakdown if she isn't changed often ... Good luck and Best wishes

I am starting a travel nurse job in Vermont. Needing to know what I need to do to get a temp license for that state?
