I drove two hours to watch Gaspar Noe’s Vortex. I never thought anywhere near me they would have such a good selection of movies and I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was great. I will be coming back.

Best theater in Vermont! It plays all independent films that are almost impossible to see unless you live in New York or LA and the only place in the state where you can drink amazing local beer with your film. It has only two screens, the upstairs theatre has beautiful brick walls and a personality all it’s own and the smaller downstairs screen has couch’s and reclining chairs that put your living room to shame! Anytime I can watch a film at this place I take it because it puts any AMC or other chain theater to shame. You won’t find “ the Avengers” playing here but for adults or real film lovers, this is the place. It’s like this little secret that mainly the locals know about. It’s crazy that a small state like Vermont gets to have a place like this! It’s because it’s a labor of love, not a means to get rich. Thank the owners while you are their because these places exist because it’s their passion!

It was nice that they had the movie we wanted to see (Midsommar) because it wasn’t playing anywhere else. Also very good popcorn and a selection of adult beverages which was neat. Never have seen that before. Only complaint is, that if you’re a larger person, you won’t find comfort to enjoy the show. Seats are way too narrow. My husband has bad hips to boot so he had to sit in a folded metal chair on the isle.

Fantastic theater! Great film selection! Although this theater is smaller than your average blockbuster theaters, The Savoy, offers a more intimate, cozy movie going experience. The film selections are often provocative pieces that leave the viewer lost in thought for hours- even days later. Not to mention the staff is very friendly, the popcorn is always fresh and delicious, plus they serve a variety of local snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic and alcoholic)! I have to say, I love this theater. I always have a great time when I see a film here!
