I've come here many times, this is a great place. All you can eat sushi with a large menu. There are also some non seafood options. My friend and I love the maki maki roll! We order it every time we go. Atmosphere is a little busy but not unpleasant. This is a good sized restaurant and parking is easy. I would recommend this place.

Pretty great all you can eat sushi. The fish quality is decent for all you can eat, and they had a very large menu to choose from. Some of their rolls are pretty interesting: we had the Patriot roll which uses soy wrapping paper with fried banana and a mango yuzu sauce. I liked it a lot but it was not my husband's cup of tea.

At $33.99 per person for a weekend dinner, Maki Maki is more expensive than other AYCE sushi restaurants I’ve been to, but it’s also one of the tastiest. I could not believe how amazing their Pad Thai is, it tasted like something you could get at an authentic restaurant (to me at least)

We went on a Wednesday evening expecting a relatively less crowded space. But the place was packed, had a 20 min wait, which wasn't too bad. We had a toddler in the party but ended up in a spot which could not have a high chair (don't even know if they had any). Ended up getting booster which was not too great a start. Ordered food and the first set came out relatively quickly, with the Sushi taking longer. The appetizers were good and the Sushi was OK. We liked some more than others and ordered to try some more. 10 minutes pass and nothing happens, after another 5 or so minutes pass and we ask our server, we were told that any Sushi items will take 20 minutes "more", this is after already waiting 15 minutes for it. He told us we could get anything from the kitchen to get faster service. We were already in the restaurant for close to 2 hours (not counting the wait time to be seated). Anyone with a toddler can understand that this is the limits of how much you can make a kid sit around for in a booster/high chair. We had to cut the dinner short and came back home partially hungry. I do not understand why they call it all you can eat if it would take more than 3 hours to finish a meal if someone actually did want to try more than a 2-3 item and it is not cheap either. Overall I think the apps were good (that is why the 2 not 1 star) the Sushi was OK but the service (not the server just the wait time to get food) was pathetic. Given a choice I would never go again, I think there are better options around with better service.

Questions & Answers

I did not give 20% of tips the waiter thought it was bad!

You should always leave a tip at a sit down restaurant, but it's not always required to be 20%; you can give what you feel warrants the service offered -- for example: excellent service 20%+, ok service probably 15%; not great service 10%. I have gone to Chinese buffet restaurants that the waiters say something like "give me more tip" lol, so might be that they are told to ask for more? Idk.

They have a fairly large menu spanning many sushi rolls, teriyaki dishes, appetizers, pad thai, a salad bar, and dessert. Drinks are separate.

How is this place in handling food allergies? My boyfriend is allergic to shellfish but we love sushi, he just can’t have shrimp or crab cross contamination.

Savannah N | Aug 31, 2018

It appears that the sushi is prepared in its own section within the seating area. Technicality any sushi restaurant in Massachusetts should be separate based on the Food Allergy guidelines every food service provider has to abide by.

Does this restaurant have all the Asian options ,not just Sushi. I have two children that are not into sushi.

Jason Thomas | Aug 31, 2018
Joe Alfonse | Aug 31, 2018

No they do not. They have a limited Chinese food menu, and you won't find much the kids traditionally enjoy. The food here is awesome, but sushi is their priority.
