We brought our sweet kitty here last year at the referral of our primary vet. She spent the night at Hope and after several tests, she was diagnosed with hepatic lipidosis. We were new pet owners and our baby had only been in our family for a few months and we were so scared of losing her so young, but every step along the way, the doctors would call and give me updates on how she was doing, what our options were, and were so empathetic. Long story short, she started seeing notice improvement in a matter of days of her release, and she was back to her normal playful self in weeks. The team at Hope quite literally saved her life and I will never hesitate to recommend this office!

We brought our dog to Hope during an emergency. The staff communicated very well with us. The doctor was a great balance of caring and straightforward/realistic. While expensive, I feel that Hope did everything they could to save our dog. And that’s all we could ask for at the time. The staff were so kind and caring after we said goodbye and have sent cards to the house sharing their sympathy.

We were referred to Hope Advanced Veterinary Center when our dog presented at our normal vet with an ingested foreign object. Our vet said that they were the only veterinary practice that would take us same-day but also had some of the highest fees in the area. We knew that surgery was the route we would take, however their quoted rate for the exploratory surgery and removal of foreign object was $8,000, a whole $6,000 dollars higher than other vets we found in this area. When I asked about the high rate I was told my dog was in pain and wanted the surgery and if I could not pay I should get credit to pay for their fee. I later realized this surgery should cost between $1.5k and $3k at most other veterinary clinics (even in this region). I felt like it was a high pressure sales situation and that our hands were tied. A family member whose cat was injured also said he paid over $7k for rehabilitation for his cat and was told to act quickly, secure funding by any means, and that his cat was a fighter and wanted him to do this pricey service at Hope Advanced Veterinary Center. All this being said they are proficient and seemed to do a good job with her surgery. She did not have an infection, and the vet himself that I spoke to over the phone was kind and took the time to explain the procedure. I do however feel that unless you want to spend 60% more than average prices do not go here. You will be pressured to spend as much as possible and told over and over that your pet wants the procedure and needs you to pay for it now which I do think is such a hard thing to put on pet owners who do care immensely for their pet but also do not want to go into debt for overpriced procedures. Just something to keep in mind if your pet is in need of surgery and you have the time to find another provider. We were later quoted $2k at a Surgery Center in Prince William for the exact same procedure.

These people saved the life of my best friend. Rose, Stephanie, Dr. Ganjei, Dawn, Dr. McNeill, the emergency team are some of those real-life heroes who go on, each and every day, to quietly make the world a better place. Thank you for caring so much for these little fellas! I cannot think of these people without gratitude in my heart.

Also, just to add to the previous answer posted by Rena, they are only a specialty care and emergency care facility. They are not a standard vet clinic.
No. Only CTs, ultrasounds and radiographs.
