The problem is you sign up at a good vet then move near Vienna so that is your only option. If I could give this Banfield zero stars I definitely would. The customer service is absolutely horrible. If you get in five minutes prior to your appointment you are accosted by reception letting you know that while you are basically on time you will wait. Everyone is rude. We will be finding a new banfield after today

Communication is HORRIBLE. Upsell attempts are made at every single appointment (multiple times during the appointments) and make you feel as though you don’t care about your pet if you don’t spend the thousands they say you should… My 14-year old senior dog was dropped off per instructions at 745am for a dental cleaning. He wasn't allowed to have any food after midnight the day before and due to anesthesia, they weren't giving him any water prior to his service. I received the first call from the hospital at 1130am where they told me about a few things they found in an initial blood test and asked if I wanted to run extra tests that cost extra $$. Then they said the vet said he needed about $1K-$2K worth of extractions (his teeth exam or xrays hadn't even started) and if I wanted to approve that amount. I said no, call me during the xrays and let me know what is absolutely necessary. I get another call around 1pm from the vet and she tells me one of his numbers is abnormally high and could cause complications but asks if I wanted to run more tests to see if they should go forward with the anesthesia and cleaning (this is now 5 hours after drop off). She suggested they run two tests, one of which is included in his insurance plan, but when I said to run that test, she said we can do that but it won’t tell us much (but then why did she suggest it?) All the while, I can hear my dog barking constantly in the background likely because he's thirsty and hungry. 2 hours later, I still hadn't heard back so I tried calling and on the 10th try, someone finally picked up. She puts me on hold and comes back to tell me they JUST put him under so I should hear back within 15 minutes. 45 minutes later I finally receive a call back and they are suggesting almost $2500 worth of extractions and additional medicines and such which of course, cost more. Finally I said I just want my dog awake so I can pick him up and they said I can pick him up at 530pm- almost 10 hours later. Went to pick up my dog and after standing there for almost 10 minutes, one of the team members at the front desk asks “have you been helped?” though she hadn’t been assisting anyone. I told them I was picking my dog and she goes “how will you be paying?” before saying anything else. When I asked her to run through the charges again she goes “you want me to list out the charges for you? Ok….”. To top it all off- my dog reeked of urine though he was bathed two days ago.

They took us in at 1 in the morning and they let you know how many are in front of you. There are signs all over letting you that you may be there for a few hours. The care they gave my cat held over until i was able to get her to her regular vet.

Awful communication and delivery of critical news. I was told test results for a mass on my dog would be ready before her follow up appt, which they weren't. Then I took her in for the follow up appt. and they expected me to just drop her off, and told me the bill was over $400. For what? I didn't even know what was going on with my dog. Finally I get into a room with the vet who casually tells me my dog has cancer. Horrible experience. No direction on what to do next until I called and called multiple times for recommendation and help. The only positive feedback would be that the vet assistant was very kind and helpful. Pets are family, I wouldn't recommend this location if you are looking for a caring vet.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
