Worst district ever award! My son went through his entire high-school years and in his senior year, im called in about grades. This kid was taking honors in math and science just for fun. By the state he was required to have 22 credits to graduate, he ended up with 27 due to neglect and counselors that were more interested in electives instead of general studies. Then to top it off, 10 days before graduation we are told each child gets 6 tickets! We had family already spend money to see him graduate but yet we're unable to attend due to this. I spoke to alico area whom confirmed there were more than enough seating for more than 6 tickets per kid. North ft myers high is where he went. Principal Diggs dosent care about anything other than her son who is a DS young adult,22, and disrupts classes every single day. Thankful McKeever is leaving after this year since he's the one who confirmed the school was getting extra grant money from the state vs senior exemption for my son. I did put a stop to that one but best believe I am not done with yall. The governor will have a copy of my files before long since Noone at this place was of help. Yes Mr Simmons, your call will be included in my file. North Nicolas would never be an option for my son, as it was suggested. But he walked that stage even though this district could care less...

We have lived in this town all of our lives, I went to school in this district, as well as my aunt's uncle's mother and my own kids. They have the worst education it is very rare to find any good teachers or staff and when you do their either let go or move out of the area due to the way things are ran down here. If you're thinking of moving this way and have kids search for somewhere else. Especially if you have disabled children they are put down and pushed a side, their logo is no child left behind yet make it impossible for children to get ahead.

Good luck getting anyone to talk to you. I called to speak with someone regarding a policy they have in place. I just had a few question's why it was in place (the determining factor). I did not get the time of day or a return call like promised (it's been a over month). They also funnel political agenda's thru the schools. My daughter it not your messenger to get me to vote yes or no on amendments. With all the problems they have been having and the fact that we as tax payers pay the paychecks they receive and they do not even answer a 30 second question by phone or email is ridiculous. Do not get me started on the buses. And the teachers are amazing one year then the next teacher will just want to get thru the year. I took her out of public school and decided against the school's invitation to enter her into gifted classes, she is now in homeschooling and excelling even faster than in public school now anyways. I am not surprised as this is what you learn about public schools growing up, they are meat grinders and many kids get chewed up and lost in the system. Now she can learn real math (not silly core math, I am a network engineer trust me core math is a waste of time) she gets music classes more than once a week, and if she is ahead of the other kids in her grade, she gets to work ahead not sit around and wait for the others. I mean your teachers see my daughter finish early everyday and not once have they sent home extra credit. I asked why last year and was told it's to keep scores high, putting federal funding before my daughter is a sure way to get me to leave.
